What's the story?
Built by a recruiter who'd had enough.
In 2011 Alex, our founder, broke away from the traditional recruitment firms he'd been working for. He was placing legal professionals and asked himself a simple question: why wasn't he getting in on the work-life balance, remote working, better pay, anti-KPI life he was selling to them?
So he built it. ALS became the go-to name in legal consultancy recruitment years before most agencies worked out what consultancies could do for lawyers. The team grew, and so did the specialisms.
Today we recruit across 11 sectors, from legal and tech to biotech and iGaming, across the UK, Europe, the US and the UAE. Still fully remote. Still no nonsense.
